Sunaina Sinha Haldea is the founder and Managing Partner of Cebile Capital, a placement agent and secondaries advisor. Under her leadership, Cebile Capital has quickly become one of the leading advisors in private equity and real assets. Cebile Capital has executed fundraises for leading mid-market private equity funds and executed on secondaries transactions for GPs and LPs alike, including single and multi-asset continuation vehicles, strip sales, preferred equity and NAV financings. In May 2021, Cebile Capital was acquired by Raymond James, a Fortune 500, NYSE-listed company.
Sunaina is also a prolific angel investor and Non-Executive Director. She served as Chairman of the Board of Mindful Chef (now Nestle), and Chairman of the Board of Barrecore (now United Fitness Brands). She currently serves on the Boards of SFC Energy AG and Grana LLC. Sunaina has also been a Guest Lecturer at Stanford University in masters level courses in the School of Engineering and serves on Stanford University’s LEAD Council. She has written and published case studies for the Stanford Technology Ventures Program in the Stanford School of Engineering.
Sunaina is a frequent contributor on CNBC Squawk Box and is often quoted in the media on market insights and private markets capital advisory. She has won numerous awards and accolades for entrepreneurship and leadership, and is passionate about diversity and inclusion in the financial services industry.
Prior to founding Cebile Capital, Sunaina worked at Brevan Howard, a $40 billion asset manager, where she was in charge of marketing and investor relations in Asia, Middle East and Australia. Earlier, she worked at Bridgewater Associates, an $82 billion asset manager, where she covered investors in Europe, Middle East, Asia and the United States.
Sunaina obtained a BS in Management Science and Engineering and an MS in Chemical Engineering, both from Stanford University where she was also a Mayfield Fellow. Sunaina has an MBA from Harvard Business School.
In her spare time, Sunaina is a keen wine enthusiast, having qualified as a Certified Sommelier from the Court of Masters Sommeliers. She also served on the London Committee of Human Rights Watch.
Neha Choraria is a Partner at Cebile Capital. Neha has over 7 years of private equity fundraising experience and has advised on over several billion worth of secondary transactions.
Neha advises across the range of the firm's activities and has played a key role in leading the secondaries advisory program at Cebile Capital since inception. Neha is responsible for the sourcing, evaluation and negotiation of secondaries deals - successfully completing over 60+ transactions including LP portfolio sales and secondary direct deals on the behalf of major institutional investors globally, including Pension Plans, Endowments and Sovereign Wealth Funds.
Prior to joining Cebile Capital, Neha was a Financial Advisor in the Wealth Management Division at the deVere Group in Dubai providing professional investment advisory services to institutional investors in the Middle East. Neha graduated with a BSc in Management Sciences from the London School of Economics.
Sachin is a Senior Advisor at Cebile Capital, and brings over 20 years of principal investing experience in private equity to the firm.
Prior to joining Cebile, Sachin was a Partner at Adams Street in their London office for over 8 years, where he was leading on overall strategy for direct investments as Head of directs for Europe-UK and Asia. Sachin built out the direct investment platform for Adams Street in Europe-UK by working with sponsor relationships in sourcing, diligence and execution of co-investments in buyouts, direct growth equity investments and select GP-led secondary transactions. Sachin also served on the Portfolio Construction Committee for a number of years as part of the team crafting PE solutions for SMAs and was actively involved in fundraising for dedicated funds and global FoFs with prospective/existing clients.
Previously, Sachin was a Director at Northwestern Mutual Capital, the PE & mezzanine investment team of Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance co. in the US. Sachin worked with NMC for over 11 years, initially in the US where he was originating and executing investments to support mid-market sponsors in the US. He was then part of a small team that set up NMC’s London office and developed strong relationships with European sponsors. During his time at NMC, Sachin led or co-led $1 billion of investments in direct mezzanine, junior debt & equity, and over $2 billion of investments in IG private placements across a variety of industries.
Sachin earned an MBA degree from the University of Wisconsin, and a BE degree from the University of Bombay, India. He also holds the charters for use of CFA and CAIA designations.
Edwin Goh is Senior Advisor at Cebile Capital and is focused on secondary advisory
Prior to Cebile, he was Head of the Barclays Asia Pacific TMT advisory business, based in Hong Kong. He completed advisory and capital markets transactions that range from Bytedance to Xiaomi, Byju’s to GoJek, Springer Science to Cognita and Dealogic to Informa. Before joining Barclays, he worked at Goldman Sachs in London and Bain & Company in Singapore and Los Angeles.
Edwin holds an MBA from The Wharton School and an MEng in Civil Engineering from Imperial College, London
Darius is a Principal at Cebile Capital, and brings over 10 years of investment advisory and private equity experience to the firm.
Prior to joining Cebile, Darius was part of the Global Investment Research group at Cambridge Associates, where he was responsible for the evaluation of private investment managers and fund due diligence. Throughout his career, Darius has worked with a variety of clients, including institutional investors and private clients, advising on the construction of custom private equity portfolios and providing investment recommendations on specific fund opportunities.
Before joining Cambridge Associates, Darius was an Associate Director at Imprimatur Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm based in London. At Imprimatur, Darius was responsible for the identification and recruitment of C-Level professionals and advisors for Imprimatur’s investee businesses. Darius started his career as an analyst at Eden Ventures, an early stage venture capital firm, where he was responsible for assessing investment proposals and conducting market analysis due diligence.
Darius received a B.S.E. in Operations Research and Financial Engineering, with a Certificate in Finance, from Princeton University.
Chris has over 19 years’ experience in private equity / venture primaries, secondaries and co-investment. Prior to joining Cebile Capital in 2014, Chris was a deal captain with Hamilton Lane in secondaries and co-investments, arranged and executed secondary asset sales for Dresdner Kleinwort’s Institutional Restructuring Unit and invested in tech venture with OM Technology Investments (Dresdner-sponsored).
Chris graduated Magna cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Economics / Oriental Studies, was awarded an MSc in Finance from London Business School and trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW).
Benedetta Balducci is a Vice President at Cebile Capital.
Benedetta has over 10 years of private equity investment experience, including direct and indirect private equity, as well as business development and principal investments in the asset management industry.
Prior to joining Cebile, Benedetta spent 5 years working at Generali Investments, Asset and Wealth Management, where she was first a member of the private equity portfolio construction team, committing several billion Euro yearly to private equity GPs worldwide, and later a business development manager in London, in charge of acquisitions and JVs in the asset management space.
Prior to Generali, Benedetta was an investment professional at the Italian mid-market private equity fund Synergo, a board member of Italian mid-sized companies and investment vehicles, and an M&A advisor at Nomura and Lazard in Milano.
Benedetta holds a Master in International Management and a Bachelor in Business Administration from Bocconi University, as well as a Master in Corporate Management from Fudan University in Shanghai.
Kavita is a Vice President at Cebile Capital, where she focuses on North American distribution and project management.
Prior to joining Cebile, Kavita served as Head of Investor Relations at PLUS Capital. Prior to PLUS, Kavita worked as a Vice President on the Investor Relations teams at The Gores Group and Lion Capital.
Earlier in her career, Kavita was employed by Helix Associates and MVision Private Equity Advisers in New York where she was involved in the private placement of private equity and venture capital funds. She started her career at Merrill Lynch as an investment banking analyst in the Global Industries Group.
Kavita received her BS from the University of Michigan.
Marc is a Vice President at Cebile Capital, where he focuses on secondaries transactions, specifically sell-side deals involving LP interests, GP-led restructurings and providing clients with strategic insights into the secondary market.
Prior to joining Cebile, Marc worked within the Private Capital Advisory group at Evercore Partners, where he was responsible for LP and GP-led deal management and execution, portfolio evaluation, cash flow modelling, and buyer outreach.
Before joining Evercore, he worked at UBS Investment Bank in the secondaries team of the Private Funds Group. In this role, Marc supported the secondaries team in executing LP-led sell-side mandates and assisting clients and GPs with confirmatory due diligence and information gathering. There, he also worked on one of the first GP-led transactions to occur in the secondaries market.
Marc has a Bachelors of Science in Operations Research: Engineering Management Systems from Columbia University's engineering school.
Navpreet has extensive experience in private equity, M&A and software development. She works across the primaries and secondaries teams at Cebile leading fundraising mandates and advising clients on capital formation and liquidity solutions.
Prior to joining Cebile, Navpreet worked at Quest Fund Placement where she was responsible for origination, due diligence of GPs and leading primary fundraising mandates in the European mid-market.
Navpreet moved to placement in 2018, after a decade in Investment Banking M&A working across a wide range of transactions and products including sell side and buy side advisory, ECM, DCM to blue-chip corporates and PE houses in the Industrials, Technology, Business Services, Consumer and Retail sectors. She started her career as a software engineer working for Motorola in the CDMA infrastructure team India and the US.
Navpreet graduated from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. She holds a First Class degree in Electronics and Electrical Communications Engineering
Babar is a Vice President at Cebile, focused on sourcing, evaluating and structuring US secondary transactions in illiquid alternative assets including private equity and real assets.
Before joining Cebile, Babar worked as a Venture Associate focused on early-stage opportunities at SeedInvest, and prior to that, as an Associate at Setter Capital, a boutique investment bank focused on the secondary market in illiquid alternative assets. Babar has also previously worked in various other areas of finance including transfer agency relationship management at Computershare Investor Services and retail investment management at RBC Royal Bank.
Babar is a CFA® Charterholder and received an MBA from the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management in 2017.
Adeolu is a Senior Associate in Cebile’s GP-led secondaries advisory team. Prior to joining Cebile, Adeolu worked with DWS Alternatives’s secondaries group focused on global private markets, and before that with Deutsche Bank’s European leveraged finance group.
Adeolu holds an LLB from the University of Warwick.
Deborah is Cebile’s Chief Talent Officer and leads the business in fostering a high performance and collaborative working environment and by helping her colleagues to reach their individual and collective potential. Her areas of expertise include talent assessment and management, recruitment, organisational design and development, learning and development.
By training, Deborah is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist and registered Psychologist with the Health Care & Professions Council. She is also an Accredited Coaching Psychologist.
Over the last three decades she has held leadership roles with a number of consultancy businesses including Ove Arup & Partners and has held interim positions in UK retailer and on a Home Office IT programme.
Lisa is Chief Operating Officer at Cebile Capital.
Lisa joined Cebile in 2017 as Operations & HR Director and was promoted to COO in March 2020. Lisa has over twenty years’ management experience and prior to joining Cebile worked as an Associate Director at Frank Hirth plc, a well-established top 35 international tax and accounting firm as Head of Business Administration, overseeing Administration, Marketing and Business Development in London and New York.
Claire is Cebile's Senior HR Manager, and joins with over 15yrs experience predominantly working within financial services and most recently at Chaucer Underwriting Services Limited. Claire's HR Generalist experience includes; recruitment, employee relations, compensation & benefits, HRIS, performance management and change management.
Claire is CIPD qualified and holds an MA in Human Resource management.
Marietta is Executive Assistant at Cebile Capital. Marietta has over twenty years’ work experience and prior to joining Cebile worked for a HNWI's private office as Executive Assistant & Office Manager. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Goa University.
Most recently, Dorit served as CFO and group Chief Risk Officer (CRO) at Israel Discount Bank (2006-2011) where she led the capital raising and IR of the group. Before Discount Bank she was the CEO of Gmulot, the leading Asset Management Company in Israel, subsidiary of Bank Hapoalim. Prior to heading Gmulot she was head of the provident funds division and CIO of Tfahot Bank.
Currently Dorit serves as Chairperson of the investment committee of Hachshara Insurance and as Chairperson of IFI, an entity engaged in training the local financial services industry. She also serves on the boards of two listed companies. Dorit earned a BA in Economics and an MBA in Business Studies - both from the Hebrew University.
Most recently, Yafit served as the head of business development in the Global Treasury of Discount Bank. Previously, Yafit was the head of private banking and commercial client desk of the trading rooms. Before assume this role, Yafit was a senior OTC trader. During this period she accumulated a deep understanding of the market and complex financial products. Prior to joining Bank Discount Yafit worked at Tamir Fishman investment house.
Yafit earned an BA in Economics and Finance from the College of Management Academic Studies and an LLM from Bar Ilan University. She also holds an ACI Dealing Certificate from The Financial Markets Association.
